Your little wings
will reach the skies.
Will you let them soar?
Will you let them fly?
I know they'll soar,
I know they'll fly.
You just need to
let them try.
Don't be scared.
Don't have a fright.
I'll be there for you
Both day and night.
I'll protect you.
I cherish you, I do.
When you roam the stars,
Don't ever forget.
Then you spread your little wings,
and let a tear - roll down your cheek.
"Thank you," was all you said,
As you soared and flew,
Into the sky...

Ok, so yeah... I wrote this. I'm kind of still a newbie at poetry, so dont make too harsh comments. I just wanted to share this with you guys cuz it's my first non-emo, and happy-ish, poem I've ever written so far. Haha!
So I was proud of it and wanted to share. I actually wrote it like a month ago, I just didn't feel like sharing it yet.
So please tell me what you think, and if you thought it was lame or retarded or whatever, just don't say anything please. Or else, you're really gonna bring me down... Haha!
This is to all my friends! (Not that you'd cry or whatever, but...) Don't be afraid to spread your wings and go out into the world. I'm there for you whenever you need it! Whether it be day or night, I'm there! If you have a problem, I don't care what time it is, if you need to talk, call me.
